Tammy Benlolo was born in Toronto and spent her childhood and teenage years reading Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters and Judy Blume.
Due to her love of literature, Tammy attended York University and received a Bachelor of Arts with honours in English literature and is now completing her first year of Graduate studies. Tammy always wrote short stories, starting at age 4 where she would have them printed and bound at her school's in-house printer.
Tammy spent Friday nights writing stories that would capture the attention of readers all over the world, writing at coffee shops, during class and on the subway. While being an avid reader and writer was fun and exhilarating, Tammy had to work to help support her addiction for shoes.
After years of working in the restaurant industry and writing dead-end stories, Tammy discovered a new and fascinating tale to tell, her experiences as a restaurant server.
